Good Riddance!
Yes, I do mean good riddance…to my CI 731 graduate course, that is! I just emailed my professor all of my final projects and the semester-long items such as my reflection document, homework time log, etc. I must admit that it feels pretty darn good to have that all submitted to her. Hopefully I don’t have to change anything because I fully intend to take advantage of this next month FREE OF CLASSES starting right now! hehehe I need a break from this extra work and stress. I finally just finished up the projects to be the best of my ability tonight using what I thought were the requirements, and I’m calling it good. I know that I obsess way too much over assignments, and that just causes more stress for me. I am getting better at just doing what I can to complete the project, submit it, and then let it go.
I have gotten behind in my classroom things the past week or so since I’ve been working on homework and holiday things. Hopefully now that I am done with my class, I can sit down tomorrow night and get caught up on some grading and get activities ready for some shorter books to use in my reading groups between now and Christmas break. Then I’ll really feel caught up and ready to go for the holidays! I am just taking one thing at a time right now. But tomorrow night definitely does need to be designated as my "work catch up" evening!
I called the doctor this morning and set up an appointment to get my cholesterol checked again. The lab doesn’t open until after the school day begins, so I am just taking a sick day on Friday. I need to get that lab work done, and I’m not sure what other kind of follow-up he is going to want to do. Plus, I have been having some reactions lately to what I think is food that I want to visit with him about. A few times when I’ve eaten something, I end up with a killer stomachache for about 15 minutes, and then my throat starts getting tight. I have to take a Claritin-D, and then it starts getting better after about another 15 minutes. It’s really strange. So far it hasn’t been a huge deal since the Claritin works, but I don’t want to let it get to the point where I am stuck somewhere with that happening and the Claritin not work. I figure I might as well take the day and get some medical things out of the way. I’ll feel much better going into the holidays with that stuff done. It has been two months since I last went in, and he wanted me to give my herbs a few months to work and then we’re checking the cholesterol again. I may also talk to him about how exhausted I’ve been lately. I’m not sure if it’s just the added stress with work, the end of the semester for school, and the holidays or if it’s something else. I don’t want to sound like a hypochondriac or anything, but I also want to make sure I’m taking care of myself right now so that I am not too beaten down once I do finally get a break to really enjoy it.
Well, speaking of being so exhausted, I better head to bed. It’s already late. I’ve just got to accept that my school bag is going to have to wait another night before I touch it and get some work done. Oh, well! Life definitely goes on…. 🙂 I hope you all had a great Monday, and enjoy the rest of your week! Only two weeks until Christmas!!! Yay!
I’m glad you are done with that class! Ashley
