Finally an Update

I made a promise to myself today that I would post an update on her before I go to bed.  I always read up on everyone else’s diaries while blow- drying my hair every day, but I don’t always take the time to sit down and right.  Okay, so it’s been like a month since sitting down to write.  I’m sorry!  Time has a way of getting away from me any more!

The holidays were absolutely wonderful!  It was so special to have Hannah to spend the holidays with, and it was neat to watch her grow and interact with family members.  We kept very busy running between families, but it was a good time.  Hannah spent a great deal of time in her car seat traveling, but she did awesome!  I was so proud of what a little trooper she was.  She has come a long ways since our first car trip where she screamed because she hated being in her car seat.  We’ll make a happy traveler out of her yet!  She, naturally, was spoiled at Christmas time.  Santa brought her many, many gifts, which makes me laugh when I think about it now.  It was fun, though!  We went to Trent’s sisters for a few days, my brother’s for Christmas, and then to see my mom’s family.  We stayed in a hotel for two nights while visiting her family, so it was like a little vacation for us.  Then we decided to head to Colorado Springs with my parents for New Year’s, which was neat.  We could see Pikes Peak from our hotel room, so we all go to watch the fireworks at midnight while Hannah snoozed!

Things for my parents are also looking up right now!  My dad just began a new job on Monday, so we’re hoping and praying that he enjoys it.  He had a few prospects, so he at least had some things to choose from.  He thinks this is where he’ll be happy, so we’re very thankful for the offer.  We kept him busy and his mind off things over the holiday break while we weren’t working, and it was a nice change of  pace for him.  After the holidays he was ready to go out and find a job, and it all worked out.  God has blessed us in abundance so many times!

Miss Hannah continues to grow like crazy!  I can’t believe that she is already 3 1/2 months old!  The time is flying!  She isn’t rolling yet because she doesn’t show much interest in it.  She’d rather be sitting upright so that she can see what’s going on around her.  We’ve taken her to a few basketball games, and she loves it!  She follows the ball up and down the court until she gets so drowsy that her head flops down and she’s asleep.  It’s too cute!  We go back to the doctor here in a few weeks, so we’ll know how much she weighs then.  The last time we were there in December she was over 12 1/2 pounds.  She’s just growing and changing all the time!
