This and that

I missed last Tuesday and this Tuesday, so I figured I’d take time before my class this morning to actually write something. Not that life is very exciting or anything.

Yoga has been ok. The teacher training at EY has started and all the trainees are required to observe classes and take notes. So, my last few classes at EY have included sit-ins. It feels weird. Just this past Tuesday, I had to cancel my morning class at the community center because of snow. Thank goodness they understood and I was able to cancel it on Monday night, so Tuesday I actually just went into the office instead because it was mostly just raining, but I knew driving over the mountain to class would be really tricky.

I’ve been thinking a lot about which classes I want to keep. I still feel like I’m trying to do too much. There are pros and cons to each place that I teach but mostly it’s about the people that I will miss if I give up the class. So, I’m torn.

And now one of my boss’ is trying to organize a trip to Florida to tour our properties there. She proposed two dates, and of course yoga is making it hard for me. So we’ll see. I think as long as I have enough notice, I shouldn’t have any issue either getting coverage for classes or at worst having to cancel them. Unfortunately, the dates of these trips are all before Mich is finished with school for the semester, so that will add to the difficulty of me going away.

The kids have been good. There are pros and cons to owning two dogs too. I guess there are pros and cons about everything LOL Rosie is still doing really well. We took her upstairs with us again last weekend, both nights, even though we said we wouldn’t do that again. Saturday morning it took us an hour to get her downstairs. She actually went down the first few steps on her own to the landing and we make a HUGE deal of this. Then Mich took her down the rest of the way on her lap. On Sunday morning, I think it took the same amount of time, but this time, after she went down to the landing on her own, she continued to follow Amos down the rest of the way… very very slowly and she was shaking the whole time, but she DID IT!! And we celebrated when she was downstairs! She got sooooo happy! LOL Unfortunately, due to the amount of time it takes to get her downstairs, we can only do this on the weekends, but we will keep at it every weekend. We carry her up to the landing and she’ll go up the rest of the way on her own. One day, we are hoping she’ll just come all the way up on her own.

We did have a little scare with Rosie last week. I got home and she was SO excited and just charging around the house and then the yard and I saw her slip and then she was limping really badly. I got her back in the house and had her rest, until Mich came home and of course then she was crazy happy again. LOL But a day later she seemed ok. And now she’s got something going on with one of her eyes. It seems to be bothering her and she won’t open it all the way. Awww, the joys of having one more pet to worry about. LOL

This spring is about women comics for us. We are going to see Amy Schumer next Friday at a local venue and then in mid-April we’ll be going to see Suzanne Westenhoffer. Very excited for both shows!

I haen’t read the book, but it’s hard ti imagine someone being disappointed with the movie. At the least, it’s a visual miracle.
