Longevity

Still no word from the Prison about the background check. I worried to Mich this weekend that the government shutdown has affected the department that does background checks. But, it will be when it’s meant to be. I’m the one who delayed the process to begin with because I waited so long to schedule the meeting. So, I have to be patient.

My grandmom had a fall. I hate to say it, but since her 100th birthday, we’ve sorta been expecting something to happen. God knows she wants to go. She is ready to go and I think she’s just generally tired of living. Apparently she fell down the cellar steps. My aunt said she’s been eating candy like crazy and they don’t keep it from her, but my aunt speculated that she thought they were hiding some from her in the basement. She knew she wasn’t supposed to go into the basement at all. But, she’s been confused a lot more lately. The fall only bruised her up REALLY badly. No broken bones which is amazing. They took her to the hospital to make sure nothing was serious. Then moved her to a nursing home. My 80 year old aunt has been caring for her for about 25 years. I think it’s safe to say that she needs to be in a safer environment. My aunt will be paranoid to leave her alone ever again. My aunt is of very sound mind and body, but I think it’s only fair that she has a break now! My grandmom is a constant reminder to me to take good care of my physical body. I will more than likely live as long as her, and I want to do so as a healthy person.
