A good day

We did it! We finished the 12 week Live Fit program yesterday. I accomplished the one goal I set for myself which was to do the whole thing without skipping any days or whimping out. I cried during one of the workouts, but I didn’t give up. I even went when I had throw my back out of whak. I took care of myself, but I still did it! The results… I’ve gained the habit of going to the gym, I built a lot of muscle tone, I feel much better about myself, my heart-rate is lower and recovery time faster, and I lost about 15 lbs.

So, what’s next… I realized that I really like seeing my muscles and so I am going to do another 12 week program called Shortcut to Size. Its designed by a Ph.D. who is widely respected in the workout community. I’m excited to start tomorrow. It will be two days of work, one rest, two days of work, and two rest… It will fit into my new schedule perfectly!

In other news, Hanna has crossed the rainbow bridge. They put her to sleep on Monday. It was obvious that it wasn’t just an ear infection or anything else that could be cured. She was old and had been suffering for a while, so I’m glad that she is in a better place now. Mich went with her mom and her niece, so at least Hanna didn’t die alone. The same day, Mich got a call from one of her old coworkers. One of the kids play group buddies had to be put to sleep the same day. He was about a $30K dog. He had so many problems from the time he was a puppy, so again, I’m happy he’s not suffering anymore, but its still so sad.

Today, the kids get to go swimming! Every year, when they close the public pools, they open them up to the doggies. So, we are very excited to see how Rosie does with all the other doggies, but also to see if she will go swimming!

Otherwise, we had a wonderful lazy lovey-dovey morning in bed this morning, had our protein shakes, and will soon eat a nice omlette together. Then its time to get some yard work and house work done and then we can finally go out and play… swimming and ice cream date. Its a beautiful, cool, sunny and breezy day. A good day to work outside. I’m sitting on the deck, watching Rosie bark at everything, and watching the birds play in the fountain. Its a good day!
