I needed a break, so I came here. I’m working from home today because my boss was unexpectedly working from home today and when I came out of my yoga class this morning there was a torential downpour. My pants were soaked and I started to drive and just thought how stupid it was to drive in that weather to do work I could do at home. Without him there, there’s really not much for me to do other than on-line stuff which he gives me over e-mail. He said it wasn’t a problem and so I’ll go to the office the whole day tomorrow instead. It’ll be my first time going to work and then having to drive right to yoga at night. Hopefully it won’t leave me exhausted.

But today, he emailed me and asked that I research one of the property’s historical data to see if I can find anything about asbestos… So, I’ve been reading a 300-page environmental study to see if I can find anything. Fun times. LOL

Its weird that I’ve been only writing on Tuesdays. I’m not planning it that way, it just sorta turns out that way.

Mich’s birthday last week was good. Not very exciting, but it was nice all the same. On her actual bday, we ate crab-patties and perogies at home which her mom had given to us. And then we went over her parents’ house to eat the cake that I made and her mom had iced. It was sooooo yummy. I guess its a popular cake right now. There are pictures of it all over pintrest, but I had to google like crazy to find the recipe because pintrest is a really stupid website. What is the sense of having a website with a bunch of pictures, but no way to find out any info about the pictures? Anyway… I found the recipe and it was AWESOME. Chocolate chip chololate cake. It really doesn’t need icing, but Mich can’t have cake without icing. LOL

I ended up buying her two magazines and downloaded two albums from Biffy Clyro for her. The first magazine was the Sports Illustrated Swim Suite edition which she just about died over. LOL We are still making our way through it. LOL She said she couldn’t wait to tell everyone that her wife bought her the swimsuite edition. LOL I guess I did good with that one! The other mag was a woman’s bodybuilding magazine since she’s really into those. She was really happy and likes the music.

On Friday, we went back to her parents’ house to have more cake since her sister couldn’t make it on Thursday. We had pizza first and then just about finished the cake. I love her family and we had a good time both days. I told her I wanted to chip in for the Motley Crue tix, but she said no. So, I felt like I did really lame for her birthday this year, but she seemed happy. She told me before that my gift to her really was the fact that I got this awesome job.

The rest of the weekend was nice. I taught yoga and had a huge class. The weather was perfect on Sunday and we did outdoorsy things. We got Rosie in the car again and took her to the tow-path for a walk. We ran into a crazy homeless guy, but survived alive. LOL

Mich is on spring break this week and its nice that the kids get extra time with her. We are both home together today, but since I’m working we are just spending comfortable silence together. LOL

What else can I say really. Life is blissfully routine and nondramatic right now.

I’m glad all is well…those are the best moments! Did you take a picture of the cake? If so, you should post it. It sounds amazing! Ashley

there’s something to be said for ‘bilssfully routine and non dramatic’. 🙂
