Regionals & Other Stuff

Wednesday was Regionals for FCCLA. I have been a regional officer for two years now and it has been so freaking awesome. We get to lead the meetings. We have Regional Workshop and just regular Regional Meeting that we lead. At the latter, there is about 300 people that we speak in front of and it is quite an experience. Something that I will always remember. Lace joined me as a regional officer this year so she got to see what an exciting deal it is. On our way back from the meeting, I felt a sense of sadness sweep over me. That was it. No more regional meetings that I have always loved to go to. It seemed like I was on top of the world then. That I was important. Will I ever feel that agian?

Today felt like Friday the 13th all over again. Going back to Tuesday…to start this story. Well, Tuesday I found out that Brandi was going to put a restraining order on all of our family. So third hour, I asked her why..and she made up some bull story..and tried to make it seem like she was justified. (Keep in mind that Brandi is one of my good friends at this point so I just kind of let it go). The restraining order was more against my stepfamily than it was to me. Then yesterday, I talked to Gina. She was so hurt. It tore my heart in two. Her story is that she went over to get some pictures of her grand-daughter and Brandi and her new boyfriend were yelling at her and telling her to "Get the f*ck out of their yard." It was absolutely ridiculous. Gina was bawling her eyes out at this point saying that all she wanted was pictures. Anthony (Gina’s son, Brandi’s ex, and Shaylee’s father) is going to be in the state penitentiary now for 4 years. He won’t be able to see his own child…

Going back to today. I had her in 3rd hour..and it took so much not to make a scene. Mrs. Sullivan noticed me just shakin with anger and felt my heartbeat pounding in my chest. There was so much I wanted to say to her. After class was over, we ate lunch and then I went to talk to her at her table. Several things were said. The last couple things that were said were:

"A thirty some year old woman is bawling her eyes out…she don’t understand why you could be so hateful to her when all she wanted was some pictures of her grand-child. Thats the least you could do was let her take some damn pictures, Brandi. She didn’t want to take Shaylee to see Anthony. She didn’t want to bring Anthony over to your house. All she wanted was some freaking pictures."

"I don’t care."

"That’s because you are a cold, heartless bitch"

And I got up and left.

Without Lace and Mrs. Sullivan and my mom, I would be a lot worse off. I’m glad I have people to vent off this anger than just the OD. God, I’m gonna miss them so much when I move off to college. Unless of course, Lace and I continue to go to the same school. We’ll see I suppose.

Well, I’ve been on here a while and I better get off here. I think I’m gonna go to Sullivan’s house.

Thanks for listening, again.
