Great weather
The weather here was a absolutely wonderful today. It was in the low-80’s. Sunny and clear skies. No humidity. My favorite type of day. We went to the beach today. We didn’t stay long, though. I had to take some pictures of my cousin’s "flat self" for her "Flat Stanley" school project. I also collected some sand, shells, and ocean water to send for the project. We were going to walk along the beach for awhile, but a wave caught Logan, and he got drenched, so we came home and changed. Then, we went out to lunch. Went to the circus around 4:00. It sucked. Cost too much, and wasn’t worth going to see. The kids didn’t really know any better, though, so at least they had fun. Came home and watched "Walk the Line." It was a great movie.
Nothing else that exciting going on. It’s supposed to just as nice out tomorrow, so we are going to go around town and on base and take some pictures for the above-mentioned project with the plane statues that are around and collect some more local information to send with everything. Then, we’ll find something to do outside. Either go to the park or for a nature walk. Who knows. Logan loves the outdoors. Derek isn’t too bad about it, but he’d really rather spend his time planted in front of the tv or computer, so we have to really encourage him to get outside all the time. I’m really bad about NOT doing that during the winter months because I hate being outside in cold weather. But, now that it is warming up, he will be spending a lot more time outside.
I tried not to worry about our problems today and just enjoyed myself. Matt and I talked a little about things, but really, there’s not a whole lot WE can do. It just depends on how much the others want to screw around and mess things up.
Until next time…
