Earth Science

So, I studied rather hard for this Earth Science exam. I have a relatively decent understanding of plate tectonics and how and why streams meander and where they deposit sediments, etc. I thought I was pretty prepared. So, I get to the classroom, and the first question is about chemistry! Protons, Nuetrons, Electrons, Molecules, Ions, Isotopes…yeah, no clue. For those of you who don’t know me, I am Science-tarded. I failed Chemistry after great attempts to pass a single test. For example, I studied TWELVE HOURS for a test, even though I was puking. The professor let me skip the test the next morning because of my illness, and then I studied for hours again. The end result- 43%. I kid you not.

Now, like my friend, Chris, I was always pretty intelligent. I have relatively high IQ, and was always above average both on standardized tests and in classes. That is, until I got to college. I think my IQ has taken a dive into the mud. In fact, it might be so low now that it has fallen into the lithosphere. Yes, lithosphere. The lithosphere is the earth’s crust and uppermost part of the Mantle. But, a question about that couldn’t have been on the exam this morning, despite my taking the time to study what I believed to be an important basis for Chapter 1.

I have a tutor for Earth Science. I set it up before the first week of classes. I e-mailed people up to a week and a half ago, attempting to find out when I could meet with my tutor, but no one could tell me. Finally, I got the name of my tutor and e-mailed her directly. I thought we could meet before my test sometime, but she made her excuses not to, and I guess it will be a while before I get help in the subject.
