great day!
Wow what a day!
V had swim lessons at 10:30. Promptly thereafter, we got on the highway and went downtown to my office. I thought the parking there would be cheaper than at Navy Pier. Why would we be heading downtown to a pier in December? Well Winter Wonderfest had a groupon a few weeks ago. So I thought we might go.
Here is was waiting for his first ride.
(don’t ask me about the eyes, I have no idea)
Can’t wait for his turn. (If you knew my son, he is car crazy)
Blurry, but it was the best I got. 🙁
So we also went on the Tilt-a-Whirl, Roller Coaster, and Ferris Wheel. He also went on a bunch of the bouncy type jungle gyms/slides (Sidenote, it is really difficult to get photos of doing rides when you are ON the ride, and it was super busy. I was trying my best not to have to report him as missing).
We walked from my office to Navy Pier and back, we were at the fest for approximately 5 hours. So I ended up on my feet for close to 6 hours (except for using the bathroom, going on a few rides, and 5 minutes for V to devour a scoop of ice cream). My legs and feet are really sore.
Tonight when V was in bed, he said, “Momma you know what?” (This is currently his favorite thing to say, and it makes me a bit batty.) I said “what”. He replied, “You wore me out today with all of the fun!”.
Um..I will be taking this as great memory. 🙂
Edit-Oh we also went ice skating…not the best part..trust me.
I was just thinking earlier about taking Reagan ice skating and wondering if he was old enough yet. Tell us more about your ice skating adventure.
