July 4th

Not too enthusiastic about this entry. I really just want to do nothing, go home, and do nothing some more. Yesterday was a good day but left me very tired this morning, though I got up just fine and had no post fourth of July hangover.

It was the most laid back fourth of July party I have attended down here. There were a lot of people over, but we had the party during the day mostly, so everyone was really relaxed and not intent on doing any real partying, which was nice. We had wanted to watch Independence Day, but discovered that it isn’t on Netflix (really? really Netflix?) and so we watched Lethal Weapon instead, then Immortals (YES!) and then several episodes of Louie.

At 9:30 the fireworks started going off, so we all climbed up on the roof to watch them. They were far away but we could still see them pretty well, and we commenced singing bad renditions of the national anthem and other america related songs.

I played a quick game of goucho ball, that I won and so didn’t have to drink anything, and ended up going to bed at a respectable 12:30, which allowed me to get a decent amount of sleep for today, but I’m still tired and would love to just sleep for the rest of the week.

Aunt Susan has been in Washington for the last week visiting her dad up there. She’s coming home with a minicooper, stick shift, former insurance guzzling, souped up, old-man-had-a-life-crisis that he decided to give to Susan. I cannot WAIT to drive it! I love the mini coopers. Our friend Steven has one and it’s almost like driving a street legal go-cart. They are so much fun. And Susan is getting one!

Woo!

Okay, that’s it for now. Shortest entry ever.

I was going to watch ID4 myself, I couldn’t believe it wasn’t on Netflix either.
