close to the wire

I was up until almost 2 am last night putting together my Sally costume after spending an hour at the Fabric store with a bunch of crazy women. It’s not finished yet. I just barely started taking together the backside of the dress, and I think I’m going to have to do some engineering because the fabric doesn’t stretch at all. But it should be good enough to pass as a halloween costume. I’ll be putting together a better one for ComicCon. (I keep thinking I’d really like to learn how to sew costumes and that I should either take a class or get a mannequin…I should price mannequins).

It was fun to make either way, despite my lack of skill and supplies. Maybe I’ll have a picture take and post one here.

I am also trying to convince a bunch of my friends to go to a haunted attraction sometime this weekend. Lisa hates haunted things, bbut I think I will be able to get a small group together so we can do the haunted ship in the bay. I heard it’s amazing and Halloween is the only time of year where I’m okay with getting the pants scared off me.

I love Halloween so much! It’s better than Christmas!

Actually, Christmas is my least favorite holiday because I never no what to get anyone and start getting stressed about it in, like, August. Dammit.

I wanted to go to the Del Mar Scaregrounds but my mom pointed out that at 30 weeks pregnant it is not the best thing to be doing!
