What was I complaining about??
What the heck was I really complaining about in my last entry? I am not sure! The whole week was hell! I had to work with our AVP. I don’t even know what that acronym stands for. He is above the manager. Hell, did I say last week was hell?
We have company stickers. There is a whole roll of them at the office. I hand them out to the FTM with kids because most adults don’t give a damn about a sticker. If they are doing a good job, I tell them so.
Mr. AVP put a sticker on the front of all the hard hats. He doesn’t even have a clue what that will to our FTMs. They get treated poorly enough when the employees of the company find out that they are temporary laborers. Now, let’s advertise it loud and clear. He put stickers on the walls and on the door. Sticker here, sticker there! Oh, Lord help me!!
Mr. AVP kept moving stuff in the office. The last time that he was here he moved some manuals. I need to be able to reach them from both phones. Where he moved them to I can not reach them from either phone. I put them back where they BELONG!! He came back this time and moved them again. When I told him that I need them “right here” so that I can reach them from both phones. He gave me a lame excuse that he moved them because he was messing around with the printers. Let me pull the BS card on you because that is a lie.
The shredder? What makes him think that he needs to move the shredder or the trash can or chairs. Most of the stuff that he moved I just put back to where I want them.
He doesn’t works in this office, but occasionally and spends only three hours of his day in this section of the office. Leave stuff alone. It is like going to visit a friend in their home and start re-arranging their furniture.
I was so happy when he left Friday. He is nice enough but holy crap! He is a back patter, which is nice. Everyone wants to be recognized now and then when they work hard to get things together!
See next entry…
Sounds like your AAVP is a prime example of the “Peter Principle.” 🙂 – – – –

Glad he left. Will he be gone for a while this time? I hope so.

I hope things get better at work. I agree with you “LEAVE THINGS WHERE THEY BELONG” It is a mind boggling issue of mine, when “I KNOW I HAD IT THERE” or “PUT IT BACK WHEN U HAVE FINISHED USING IT” SMILE Have a great week!
