Weekend Rant

If you’d like to read about he Dru Sjodin case this is the link to the articles in the local newspaper

I have been working on our tax returns. I downloaded TaxAct then I upgraded it to the deluxe version and I ordered the state forms. It is said to be the same software that H&R Block uses. We paid H&R Block almost $200 last year to do our simple tax returns. We do not itemize so it is really simple but I can not get it done as they did. He claims two of the kids as dependents and one for the Earned Income Credit. I claim one as a dependent and two for the Earned Income Credit. Last year was the first time that I ever claimed any of the kids for anything. The guy that used to do his taxes always said that it could not be changed from year to year ~ which I knew was bullshit all along. One time I did mention that I want to claim one of the kids and Dick threw a fit so I never brought it up again.

I think that I have to keep the two on his return all the way around because he got the Advanced Tax Credit.

I sat up Friday night until 7 AM Saturday morning working on it. I wanted to work on it Sunday ~ re-enter all the information just to be sure I have it right but I did not get to do what I wanted to do.

Friday Nadine stayed home from school, Tyler came home from school sick. I thought that Alexa did not look well but she would not admit to not feeling good because she had the chance to go to a movie with a friend. After she realized that she was not going to the movie she called me and told me that she had a bellyache.

I did not go to work until 7 Pm Friday that way the kids would not have to be alone for very long. Or so I thought that the kids would not be alone for very long. I called Dick to let him know that the kids were sick. He was supposed to meet me at the HL to return the game that we rented ~ it was due back and I did not have time before I went to work. He agreed to meet me and never showed up so I thought that he just went straight home. The kids called me for something. I guess I thought wrong he did not go home. So I called his friend that he did a set of tires for because when I talked to him the first time he was on his way over there to drop his pick-up off. When I talked to L he told me that Dick had just called and he was on his way over. Yeah, he was on his way over an hour ago too. L told me where Dick called from. Apparently L got a hold of Dick while I was looking up the phone number because Dick answered the phone when I called. He knew that I was pissed and when he showed up to return the game I was having a conference with two of my PIC’s. I handed it to him and turned back to talk to Cocky and Curly. (I am sure that this incident will be brought up the next time that we have an argument.)

He still did not get home until late! It just pisses me off and I told Dick that his priorities are FUCKED UP.

He did not have to work Saturday so he was home most of the day! I continued working on the tax returns. Pretty much ignoring him because if I had to talk to him I was not one bit civil. I wanted to tear his head off and shit in his neck!

As soon as I left for work he was up the road at R’s ~ drinking! Granted this time he is close but if something happens he is in no shape to handle the situation. He got home at midnight and called me at work to inform me that the road was filled in again and told me that if I need help to call him. Beside the fact that he told the kids that he would take them to town. “They decided to wait until the mall was open.”

There is a big snowdrift in the road and I got stuck in it on my way home from banking Friday afternoon. When I went through that drift in the morning it was soft but through the windy day it really hardened up. R pulled me out!

As you can imagine I got stuck in the big, hard snowdrift and I had to call him to pull me out. It took almost an hour to get me out because when he pulled I would try to help by touching the gas. My rear wheel drive car had me going sideways! So we finally decided that I would not even touch the gas. He had me out in no time after that. Too bad we did not think of that earlier but we will know if there is a next time.

That’s what i should do for our taxes. Last year we paid H&R Block close to $150. Sorry to hear your still having a problem with Dick and his drinking. {{hugs}} to you. Hope the kids are feeling better by now.
