Up Before Day Break
We made it back to town safely and dropped Cowboy off at home. We took BM to his car at the office, then GW and I went to Sams Club for cat food.
I know that we strolled around that joint three times ~ mainly just looking. We went through the dreaded candy aisle but I behaved and only picked up a box of Air Heads.
We were on our way with each of us buying a bag of cat food and my box of Air Heads and a container of salsa. I behaved quite nicely if I do say so myself.
GW and I got to spend some quality time together. Our daughters are really close friends. We each have pictures of the girls together so we decided that for Christmas we are going to make a quilt for each of them . I think that I need to look for the stuff to do this. I want it to be of quality ~ not just a cheaply made quilt with pictures that will crack and peel off. I want Alexa to be able to have this quilt when she gets older and be able to say yeah, I remember that.
When I dropped GW off at home ~ just up the road from me ~ I can see her house from my house ~ She said you have to see this cat. I have never seen anything like this! The mother was exposed to distemper while she was pregnant and it affects the kittens. If I were to diagnose these little babies by the way that they walk I would say they have cerebral palsy. GW is afraid that they will get stepped on by her horses because they do not move like a typical cat. I have never seen such slow moving cats but they are darling.
I can not believe that I, of all people, am saying that cats are darling. Speaking of the little darlings we are going to have more little darlings very soon. Grace is so huge! She had six in her first litter and she was no where near as large as she is now. Both George and Grace have been outside all summer. Since has been getting cooler the kids have been letting them in the house. That is why there has been a loaf of bread, a batch of cookies, and a bag of marshmallows mauled by cats. I blamed George for all of it thinking that Grace is too large to jump up on the counter tops. I have been corrected ~ it was Grace that got into the cookies, she was caught red handed red pawed.
I bought a new rug to put in the kennel so Grace has more padding when she has those babies. I want to move the kennel into the house and keep her in. It is getting chilly at night and we have had some pretty cold days.
We leave the kennel open but until yesterday I never saw Grace in the kennel. I hope she waits until Tuesday to deliver those babies so I can be here just in case she needs help.
This is going to be a long day for me. I am hoping that I will be able to nap after the kids get on the bus because I have the banking to do and I open today.
Cowboy took another job but wants to keep an evening or two during the week. I have no one else right now to open. Next semester Curly is going to set up his class schedule so that he will be able to work the opening shift.
So why did I get up at 3:45 AM? Oh, I thought that you would never ask! Because when I got home my family was up the short road visiting a new neighbor ~ but we knew them before they moved out here. I decided to get while the getting was good, (to be able to watch what I wanted to watch on the television) sat down on the couch, found a movie to watch, and fell asleep before 7 PM. And no one woke me up. I did not hear anyone come home, I did not hear anyone making supper. I heard nothing! Do you wonder why I have instructed my children in case of fire try to wake me once and get the hell out. If I dont wake up there is no sense in them burning to death right along with me. All joking put aside ~ I am totally serious about that!
*Someones alarm just went off!* I could not tell which room the sound was coming from.
I may return yet this morning.
A different alarm is going off now. My family is arising.
*ryn* hehe i didn’t mean to put you on the spot! No rush to send instructions! I’m just excited that i can play and learn!

Ginger is going to give birth very soon also. She wants in the house so badly, so when she gets closer i will let her in to stay. She is such a good cat…well behaved for a cat!
