Tubby Crud

If the Schawn’s man ever seen me with clothes on he would probably tip right over. Seriously, I think that in all the years he has been stopping here he has seen me dressed twice. I think the not regular driver gets a little freaked out when he stops here and I answer the door in my pajamas. Today all I had on was my big fluffy blue robe.

Why am I in just a robe? Well, let me tell you why I am in just my robe. When I woke up this morning I thought that it would be a grand idea to take a tubby so I ran the tub. I did not just fill the regular bathtub. I filled the garden tub with the jets ~ it usually uses all the hot water. With the sleeve of my big fluffy blue robe I knocked a roll of tissue into the tubby. I have been through this dilemma before so I went to the kitchen to get the colander ~ I can scoop the little bit of tissue out of the tubby. To be sure that I got it all I turned on the jets to circulate the water. What do you think appears? Yeah, I am not sure what it was either but I am glad that I turned the jets on before I got in the tubby. Black crud floating around in my full tubby that has already taken all the hot water. The particles were too small to use just the colander to remove them so I found a filter that I put in the heat vents. I put the filters in the colander and scoop away. Scoop, scoop, scoop, rinse, and repeat. I got the largest floating particles out of the water but I could see small ones that had settled on the bottom of the tubby. I stopped and contemplated drain the tubby.

“But there goes all my hot water!”

“What is that stuff floating around in that hot water?”

“I am not sure what that crud is.”

“Do you want to get in the tubby with all that hot water AND the particles of crud that you can’t see?”

“Ummm…no.”

“Then drain the damn water!”

“I better sanitize the jets first.”

I got the bottle of bleach and poured a good amount in the water and ran the jets. The water looked so nice and clean & it smelled good too. I pulled the plug and rinsed the tubby! Enough time had passed so that I could start running the tubby again but I had to stop it because I used all the regenerated hot water at the time. Now I am running more ~ with that said I had to turn the water off again because it went cold. I will wait a bit and turn it back on ~ my tubby is almost full again.

After all this I am going to enjoy this tubby to no end. I will sit there until the water goes cold. I am taking my book and the CD player ~ Nadine had a CD with relaxing music, I shall listen to that!

For anyone that may be concerned about my safety ~ the CD player sits on the vanity far away from the tubby so there is no danger of it falling into the water.
