Six Ducks

I figure that I better write about the good parts of our trip to the lake.

The kids had a blast. They spent a lot of time in the lake even if they were just wading. Nadine panned for “cool” rocks, which she brought home a large collection. Alexa made sand castles. Tyler played with boats in the water. Most of their time awake was spent on the shore of the lake.

Even though I was up in the air about Dick’s drinking I was so relaxed. My neck was bothering me so P brought out the massager. Oh boy ~ remind me that I need to go to Sam’s Club and buy one of those contraptions for both Dick and I. I love it (except going across my spine.)

We watched the family next door collect their ducks for the winter. They have six ducks that they keep at the lake for the summer and on a farm for the winter.

Let me tell you that these ducks did not want to leave the lake. It took them about three hours to catch all six ducks. They would herd them to a sandy shore spot with the water bike. Grab one and haul it to a kennel. The chased those ducks up and down the shore for about three hours. I know that I would have given up by then.

LOL, I would not want to leave the lake either! Leaving the lake means it is the end of summer, and the COLD weather is coming in the frozen tundra! Sounds like the kids had fun though. Oh, and don’t forget to go to Sam’s Club and get one of those massage things! 😉 Love and miss ya!
