Rest is peace Big Chicken

If you’d like to read about he Dru Sjodin case this is the link to the articles in the local newspaper

See what I mean about reading the paper.

The Big Chicken passed away. I worked for this man when I was in high school. It was a family run Chicken Inn. He was not particularly my favorite employer but he was not the worst I ever worked for. He taught me two things that I carry with me even today.

Like I said he was not my most favorite employer but after every shift he would always say “thank you.” I try to remember to thank each and every one of my employees as they leave for the day. I do a pretty good job for the most part.

When I first started working for him I was assigned to vacuum the dining room. I vacuumed the dining room then I asked him “is that good enough?”

He said to me “I don’t know if it is good enough. If it is not good enough for you how is it supposed to be good enough for anyone else? You better go vacuum again.”

He taught me how to clean chicken. And clean chicken I did! Just the thought of cleaning chicken turns my stomach! We had to clean at least three five-gallon buckets of cut up chicken every shift. More on Sunday because that is when he had the Smorgasbord.

People gobbled that chicken like there was no tomorrow! I could never figure it out because I could not eat it.

The burgers on the other hand ~ I liked those! Crosburger and Dakota Burger! Yum!
