I changed my name! Why did I change my name and why to Lilly Lou?

I decided to change my name because my kids know that I used the name Gift of Angels in my Open Diary. Right now I am writing things that I really do not want them to read if by chance they ever figure out my password. Lilly Lou will throw them off the trail. Not only have I changed my name but I regularly change my password too. Today I also changed my home page. I no longer open right up to OD. There have been a few times that I close my web browser without locking my diary. Then when I open it again I am still logged in. I have a few private entries that I really do not want anyone to see ~ especially anyone living in this house. Plus I really do not want to air out all of my dirty laundry for the world to see ~ even if it is only the OD world.

Where did I come up with Lilly Lou? I really do not know where the Lilly came from. Maybe I was thinking of my Lily of the Valley that was coming up nicely (finally this year) until someone stepped on it. I can see the foot print! Now it is back to looking like it has for the past few years. Oh well, one of these years it will come up and survive! Lou is the beginning of my given name. I think that it sounds good together ~ Lilly Lou. I get called Lucy Lou a lot!

Speaking of my flowerbed. I was out yesterday yanking out the weeds. I only have about three weeks before Beth comes here. If she were to see what a mess my flowerbed was she would probably crap her pants. I have been more negligent this year than any other year. I let the dandelions get crazy! It looks better yet it still needs work. I just do not have the ambition to clean up my flowerbed and I have banished Dick from doing anything with it. He kills my flowers ~ I thought it was a weed. Thank you Mr. Greenhouse.

I planted a Bleeding Heart and it was trying to be so big this year. I bloomed almost before it was out of the ground. I must move that plant. I have it behind another big something. Since it is quite small it gets no sun and it acts way bigger than it really is.

Another thing that is trying to be so big is the lilac “stick” that I transplanted from my parents’ house. No it is not a bush yet! It is just a stick barely out of the ground and it has leaves. I was hoping that it would actually bloom at that size just because I would find humor in that. So far it has not bloomed and probably won’t bloom this year. I hope that it grows so that I will eventually have a lilac bush rather than just a lilac stick.

The trees that I transplanted from Mom and Dad’s place made it through the winter! I am so happy about that. Some day I am going to have trees in my yard. Real trees not just the sticks that I call trees.

Mosquitoes ~ they are already so bad out here because it is so wet and we have a lot of standing water. We need to get out SkeeterVac running. We need to order the bait chips and the nets and we have to fill the propane tank. It seems that I can only find the bait chips and nets online. So far walmart.com is the cheapest for the bait chips but they do not sell the nets. Target.com is the cheapest for the nets but they do not sell the bait chips. What’s up with that? Why wouldn’t they sell both accessories for the one machine? It makes no sense to me!

On that note I am heading off to my pillows and blanket. It is three in the morning and I refuse to stay up any later. I do not want to sleep the day away! I did that today because I was not feeling well this afternoon. I think that I am much better now.
