Noisy Friday

Like I said in my previous entry ~ I did not get any more computer time yesterday. The kids are not home much during the day so I decided that they could be on. Although around 11 PM I started worrying about Roller Beth being on and not being able to visit with her. I had to scold myself “you talked to her this morning and she will be on tomorrow. Sit still and leave them alone!” So I watched a movie instead of getting on the computer.

I did laundry most of the day and all the kids had to do was put away their clothes. I cleaned up this pigsty that we call home. Well it was cleaned up now the table sits askew and there is a picture off the wall. But that is because the kids were playing “racquet ball” with the table tennis/ping pong stuff. They could play using the table but when one could not get anyone to play with them they used the wall in the dining room. Yep that got on my nerves too but I said nothing and turned up the volume on the television. At one point Alexa said “mom can he stop doing that?” I asked her why and she said that she was trying to watch TV. So I told her that she could come into the living room and watch TV. Just a few minutes later she was doing exactly what she wanted Tyler to stop doing. They were very loud and having a lot of fun. I stayed quiet and tried to block out the noise. I guess that I do not believe that child should be seen and not heard. As long as they are not fighting they get to be as loud as they want as long as I can tolerate it. But they know when I say “ok” it is time to quiet down a bit.

I love these kids and I want them to have great memories ~ especially of the holidays. We were never allowed to be loud even if we were having fun and it’s not like it is total chaos where they are just running around screaming. Well maybe they are, at times, running around screaming but it is usually a game that they are playing.

I had a very noisy day but they had fun!
