My Veggies Are In The Ground

I finally got my veggies into the ground. I hope that they survive the wind. It is a beautiful day today a tad bit windy but nothing that a headband and a ponytail holder can’t handle.

I pulled some weeds out of the flowerbed. I should have done that before the weeds got monstrous. I could have used a cherry picker to pull them. Instead I have yuck on my hands that I can’t get off. I have since put garden gloves on my shopping list! I can not be walking around with yuck-stained hands. I hate having dirty hands. I hate even getting dirt on my hands.

So I was off to the shower and really did not finish this. After my shower Tyler and I headed to town. I had to get him new shoes for the program tonight. He has so many pairs of shoes but they are all crappy looking. I never send/bring my kids to a school program looking like the kids that live in a cardboard box under the bridge. I just can’t do it. To my protest Nadine wore jeans tonight! Ugh you can not wear jeans for a school program! But that is what the music teacher wanted her to wear. I am glad that I did not protest too much and I did allow her to wear the jeans. Had I not let her she would have been the ONLY one dressed up. Poor Tyler looked so over dressed in his white shirt, blue tie, and his brand spankin’ new shoes. He looked like a little man and he is the one that picked out what he wanted to wear.

I used perfect timing ~ for once. We got a nice rain tonight! Even though I did water my veggies some this afternoon I am sure that the wind dried them up. With the rain we had tonight they should all be happy little veggies!
