My Mother’s Day
Sunday ~ We went to my sisters for a BBQ. I made macaroni salad and a rice dessert that her husband really likes. She has attempted to make it for him two times and she just cant get it to work for her. My guess is that she is too impatient because it does take a long time to make. We had burgers, dogs, chips, rice, salads, and pickles. There was more stuff for this little BBQ than we had for Easter.
We played her jukebox that she has in the garage. I had my niece playing songs that were popular when Mom was young. It was so nice to see her smile.
My nieces are no longer taking meds for ADD/ADHD. They are taking no meds at all. Finally!
I had noticed that they were playing together and wrestling around even laughing. I did not notice before that they did not laugh. Mom went to work Sunday morning and the girls were eating while I was having coffee. I asked them if they had taken their medicine. That is when I found out that the doctor took them off of it. I was so relieved. I have always thought that they did not need it ~ they just needed parents that were willing to parent.
I spent most of the day on the road but I got home before the kids had to go to bed.
I was sitting on the couch when the girls came out of their room with a bag. Inside the bag was another bag that had a black leather patchwork purse. I wish he would let me pick my own purse went through my head. (This one ranks right up there with the red leather purse that I got for Christmas one year.) This is really nice, thank you so much! is what came out of my face. Inside the purse was a red shirt. Oh good I need another red shirt. Now I have a different one to wear to your games.
I was sitting at the table drinking coffee then I went back into the living room and found a knick-knack I(heart)U carved from wood.
Then Alexa starts showing me all this other stuff that she got from her friend. It all came from the effects of her deceased grandmother. Ugly stuff! No wonder they were going to throw it out and my pack-rat daughter brought it home instead.
Then I got to thinking ~ there is not a tag on the purse or the shirt. (I was thinking that I could exchange the purse because it really is ugly.)
This morning I asked Nadine ~ did that purse and shirt come from As too.
Yep!
It is nice that the kids thought about me. Dick didnt think twice about Mothers Day. (I know ~ I am not his mother but I am the mother of his children.) He did not even have the guts to tell me where the stuff came from!
So if anyone has any junk that they want to get rid of that would make a good Fathers Day gift send it to:

I even thanked him for that stuff! The least he could have done is buck up and tell me. No, he just let me think that he took the kids shopping. Maybe he didnt know what to say.
Get this! I even told the kids when you get older and get jobs you will be the one that has to buy stuff and Dad wont have to anymore.
That would have been the perfect cue for him to tell me that he had not bought this stuff.
I dont mean to sound ungreatful but I really do not want some dead womans stuff. Ewwwwe…it is just so creepy to me.
I’m sorry about that hon. That would be a bit creapy. I want to try that rice salad. It sounds so delish. Will you make it for me this summer?! hehehe
