My Girls ~ Telephone Conversation

Yesterday as I was getting ready for work the telephone rang. I was the only one in the house so I answered it in the bedroom. It was a boy on the other end of the line. He was calling for Nadine so I called her in and she got on the telephone either in her bedroom or in the kitchen. I left the telephone that I had answered off the hook and the boy was talking loud enough without me actually eavesdropping. I was getting dressed; I could hear what was being said. The conversation went like this:

Nadine: Hello.

Boy: Nadine

Nadine: Yeah

Boy: Josh doesn’t want to go out with you anymore.

Nadine: Yeah

Boy: Did you hear what I just said?

Nadine: Yeah

Boy: Are you crying?

Nadine: No

Boy: Are you sure?

Nadine: Yeah. I already knew that.

Boy: Oh, is Alexa there.

Nadine: Yeah, do you want to talk to her.

Boy: Yeah.

So while Nadine was getting Alexa come to the phone I heard two boys talking. I heard one boy say to the other “you ask her out for me.”

So Alexa got on the telephone.

Alexa: Hello

Boy: Do you know who this is?

Alexa: No

Boy: This is Josh.

Alexa: Yeah

Boy: Will you go out with Chad?

Alexa: No!

Boy: Why not?

Alexa: No!

Boy: Why not?

Alexa: Because!

Boy: Because why?

Alexa: No! I am not allowed! Good-bye!

She hung up on him.

So I asked her why she wouldn’t go out with Chad.

He’s mean! He pulls my hair and it hurts!

You are probably thinking “why is she letting these little girls “go out” with boys? They actually do not go out ~ like on dates and stuff with these boys. The most of “going steady” happens over the telephone and the telephone calls are far and few between. This boy lives in town 13 miles away and is too young to drive! Thank God!

I find this situation comical. Like Nadine was suppose to be all heart-broken that Josh did not want to “go out” with her anymore and she had no reaction at all. I did talk to her just to be sure and she just doesn’t care!

I am sure that soon I will not find the comedy in my girls dating! Ugh! I am not looking forward to it at all.

That is just too funny about her not even caring. LMAO Soon enough she will care too much. I seem to remember her mother caring too much about someone… but we won’t get into that. 😉
