Lost Again with Edit

I always think that I need to start an entry with “I can’t believe that it has been so long since I updated.” Yes I can believe it because I just don’t take the time to sit and write. I don’t use the computer at home as much as I used to and there is no way that I am writing an entry at work. I don’t even want to take the chance of the IT guys getting into my OD.

Right now I feel like I have lost my Grandmother all over again. She trusted me with her beautiful diamond ring that my Grandfather gave her for their 50th wedding anniversary back in 1991. They were married for 65 years before my Grandfather passed away. I can not find the ring! The last I remember having it was November 13.

I know that I had it then because I did a secret shopping job and had to do a return. My boss and I were trying to come up with ideas on why I wanted to return them and he came up with “your husband won’t let you have them.” I said I could because I have a ring on. I went to bed that night, took it off, and put it on my bedside stand. That is the last I remember having it.

If anyone has the ability to find lost objects anything would be appreciated. I have a friend that reads tarot cards so I am always on the look out for what she came up with.

The one good thing, it is not a ring that can be purchased in a jewelry store. It is one of a kind as my Grandfather had it made by a relative. The diamonds are asymmetrical so that makes it very unique. If I ever see that ring on someone’s hand you can bet your bottom dollar that I will approach them.

I have made a police report so if it does end up in a pawn shop it will be reported. But…if the pawn shop owner just pockets it, then what?

I am very heart broken and the loss disrupts my sleep. I have been up since about 4 AM because I woke from a dream about it. I had a dream that someone had found it but had to work at getting it out (out of what I don’t know) but when he got it out, it was not my ring at all.

*EDIT*

I did look under my bed, I tore my room apart. I went through everything in my room. I have been looking endlessly! I went through 7 trash cans at work that was not fun. Thank God for rubber gloves. I went through one huge bag of shredded paper. I went through cabinets. The last thing that I did was empty the deep freeze. <— That was just today.

Tyler was getting ready to go to his friends house. He came back in and said "I found it!" I thought that he was just pissing with me and I was getting ready to be mad on both sides of my face. But he had my ring in his hot little mitt! He found it outside in the dirt! I am thrilled!  I have breathed a sigh of relief many, many times since then. I just can’t believe it. Thanks to all who said a prayer ~ even if they did not note it! Really what are the chances? The ring was missing for more two week then I write about it and it appears!!

Oh no! I know how it feels to lose something valuable and not know if you will ever see it again. I am constantly losing things, jewlery, especially. I hope and pray that it turns up. I am sure you have already looked, but have you looked under the bed? or in the vacuum cleaner bag? Sending positive thoughts. Hugs,
