Lazy Day
I did not get to go to work last night. The weather so fierce that I went nowhere! Almost everyone that tried to use the road leading out got stuck. So the few that could get through the drift would end up pulling out those who did not make it through the drift. I being one that had been pulled out of that drift twice over the weekend decided to stay home. This drift is not actually the same one that I had to be pulled out of. We had to road cleared then it stormed again.
This morning three guys in the neighborhood were out snow blowing the road. Dick could have been out there helping to but his snow blowing has been broke down. This morning he was calling around to find a blade for the 4-wheeler and/or a canopy for the snow blower. I would like him to have both. I would sure help out on days like yesterday and today. It was nicer out this morning that it is now. The wind came up again.
I will be on my way to Alexas basketball game soon. It is on the air force base and I really have no clue what it takes to get on base. I have never tired.
(The bus is tackling the road so it must still be clear.) Neither of my two chickens got off that bus! How am I supposed to go to a basketball game that starts at 4:30 if they do not get off the next bus until 4:30 or later? Damn it!
I called the school and talked to Mr. C. He has Nadine in his class because she did not finish her assignment. So they will both ride the bus to the game. Whew!
Mr. C also informed me of a little attitude problem. Apparently Alexa told him that she is not doing an assignment! Now if I were he she would not be playing in the game tonight. She would have to go, sit on the bench, and watch. But she will be in trouble when we get home!
I did nothing today but read the book that I got for Christmas~ Holly by Jude Deveraux. It only took me two day to read it. It ties in with a couple of her other books that I have read but it is not like you would need to read those to understand this one. The next book ~ I have it ready and waiting for me to begin reading it ~ Wild Orchids another Jude Deveraux.
I better go so I can finish getting ready for the game. Making sure I am ready to high tail it off to work as soon as I drop the chickens off at home after the game.
Wish me luck getting out of the driveway!
uh oh, i’m surprised at Alexa! That sounds more like something Nadine would do…no pun intended at all. I got stuck in the driveway last week too. Just once though! Nany nany boo boo hehe!!! Sendimg a nice hot cup of Hazelnut coffee! Stay warm
