If I had a half a million….

Work has been pretty slow…very little work for our temp employees. That means that I have very little to do too. I am surprised that I get to be employed at all. I am not complaining by any means I am just getting to the reason that I am browsing the internet.

Yeah, I was browsing lake homes in Northern Minnesota. I came across one

and looking at the small photo of it I told my boss “that looks like my grandparents house” and clicked on the photo to enlarge it. “That IS my grandparents home!” If I had the means I would certainly buy it. I spent a lot of time in that home as a tween. But $549,000 is a little out of my range.

My Grandfather built this fireplace…

I didn’t get to see him do it but I did watch him and my Uncle throw one up in the house that we lived in at one time. They were so quick but articulate. I was so amazed!

He did most of the work on this house. It was once a tiny cabin that he built into a house. My Grandparents made it a Home. Very fond memories and I am being very sappy about it right now.

Okay ~ so I didn’t get this posted. But…I did get to town and I did buy that CD. I think I just about have it worn out already. Well, not really but I have listened to it a lot.
