I am a Ramblin’ Gal!

When I got home from work last night I was so tired I went right to sleep. The computer had been left on so I shut it down and headed for my blanket. That is what happens when I don’t get a nap in the afternoon.

Going to sleep earlier means that I am ready to start a new day earlier. I have been up for a while. I had to sift through my entries to find out when the babies were born ~ Captain wants to get Splitter fixed and it can not be done until he is six months old. Captain wants to have it done here before he moves home ~ back to Texas. To have the procedure done here Captain will save about $100. I can certainly see his point.

Did I tell you that Captain is leaving? Captain is leaving; his mother wants him to move back home. His father died about a year ago and she has no business sense so she wants him to come home and help her with the family business. So…send your child off to college, spend a ton of money so that he can become a pilot. But have him help run the family business. I just don’t get it. I understand that he is the “baby” of the family but for crying out loud. Let him get a job in the profession that he went to college for.

I am going to miss him! He is the “oldest” (longest employed) of my “kids.” He has been with us for about two and a half years.

Did I tell you that I am losing or have lost another employee? Another pilot! He got a job moved to the town south of here. He will continue to work one night a week. RW has not been with us all that long ~ maybe one year but I will miss him too. He is a good worker and he is pleasant to be around.

Doing the schedule for the week following next is going to suck! My supervisor and I (among nine others) are going to Vegas for the World of Gamin Expo. We leave Monday September 15 and do not return until Thursday September 18. I should be excited but I am not!

I bought two Jude Deveraux books to keep me out of the casinos. I have beaten the gambling habit. I have better things to do with my money. Especially money that I do not have.

As I sit here and type this I am downloading McAfee Virus Scan 8.0. I am upgrading! And I better get my damn rebate this time. Last time that I upgraded they said that I was not eligible for the rebate. I did not pursue it and I never did get the rebate. This time ~ I WILL GET THE REBATE!

It is only at 50% ~ “low-speed dial-up” will do that. So I have to leave it running and finish when I get back from banking. That is all I have ~ banking. I am not going to the grocery store. I am not shopping for anything. Get the banking done and get back home! I will get some more laundry done ~ already on the forth load. The first three were small ~ my uniform pants, my uniform shirts, and a load of whites minus the grossly muddy socks that belong to Tyler. If the washer stops before I go I will throw in another load before I leave. I do not want to spend my weekend off doing laundry and/or cleaning house. I will do it when I get back from banking. I will definitely need a nap this afternoon before I go to work!
