Hear Comes the Rain Again

I have a light show going on outside my window ~ with sound effects and all! I knew that a few nice days in a row was too much of a good thing. Ugh we have had so much rain that I don’t want anymore rain. I think that it has rained once since I got new arms which must have been last Thursday because I had the kids with me. Has it really been that long since we have had rain? It must have rained during the night since then but I have only used my wipers to clean the bugs off my windshield.

Today was my day off and Nadine’s last driving day for Driver’s Ed. Today when I picked up Nay and M they told me now they have to ride with J because she was not able to drive with them because she is not 14 yet ~ turns on the 23rd of this month. I say no way unless J’s mother wants to transport Nay. It is only 17 miles but it ends up being 68 miles! Dropping off and picking up. If I had something to do in that town for the two hours that they drive it would not be that bad but I don’t have anything to do there. It is not like Larimore has a mall or anything.

When I dropped M off at her house her parents were in the pool. I tried to escape but did not quite make it. When you get two talkers together the conversation never ends! We sat out in the yard talking when I realize I have been there for over two hours. In the sun! This little white girl can’t take that much sun ~ especially on the first outing! My legs are burned! My shoulders are not so bad because the one that was exposed the most is already tanned a little bit from driving ~ but I can feel the heat it in. When I got home I went out to lay on the trampoline on my belly trying to get some sun on the back of my legs. I need to start training because we have Escape to the Lake coming soon. I can not go out there looking like a ghost and spend two entire days in the sun. Sunscreen or no sunscreen if it’s hot I will burn. Last year the weather was very nice. I have been there when the weather was crappy and that is no fun for anyone.

Since it is almost three and I have to be up early I better get to sleep. I bank and open.
