Great slumber party for Alexa and her friends

If you’d like to read about he Dru Sjodin case this is the link to the articles in the local newspaper

I took the whole weekend off but I ended up going to work Saturday night because there was a no-show for the second time this week and one called in sick. He has called in sick more in the past four months than I have in almost five years. I think he calls in when he has stuff going on and he doesn’t want to work. I think that I need to speak to him. No more calling in sick without a doctor’s excuse. The no-show has ruined my plans for Easter! I was going to go “home” but now I have to fill his shift. Like Donald Trump would say “You’re Fired!”

It wasn’t that bad because it was a short shift. For some reason I called the site around 7:30 just to see how things were going. Jockey called in sick, Bert didn’t show up, Curly is at a funeral, and Cocky was running late. When it rains it pours! Cocky was there by the time that I called and he was floor walking ~ selling bingo cards. I told Giant not to panic because I would be there as soon as I can. I was in the middle of making supper because I over slept from my nap by two hours!

Alexa had two of her friends here. I thought that both of them were going to spend the night but A’s parents returned from where ever they were and picked her up at about 9:30. D’s mother was in Fargo at the Chorus Festival with her other daughter that is the same age as Nadine. And…Alexa was sick!

When they got done playing basketball I didn’t want to just bring them here ~ out to the boondocks and not let them have a little fun. I asked them what they wanted to do. They chose to roam the mall so that is what we did. Alexa started complaining of a stomachache so we were leaving. You know how it is when you are in a mall; you can’t just find the exit and leave. I always have to stop and look at this or that. Her color was awful so I said we have to get going without stopping again. We were in the middle of Marshall Field’s when she said “I feel like I am going to puke.” Hang on lets make run for the door. If I could have I would have picked her up and carried her but she is too big to do that with anymore. She did make it to the door without vomiting in Marshall Field’s ~ but she did not make it outside either. The middle of the doorway got violated.

Great slumber party for Alexa and her friends!
