Gorgeous Weather in the Frozen Tundra
Today (October 8, 2003) was and absolutely gorgeous day.
I drove home tonight October 9, 2003 at 1:00 AM without wearing a jacket. I even had the window down.
Now this is almost unheard of in the Frozen Tundra.
My kids have been wearing shorts to school again.
Remember when I said that it froze. It did freeze a couple of nights. I have shriveled up cucumber plants to prove it! That is about the only thing in my garden that surrendered to the frost.
I have tried to type this sentence five times and each time I do it, it never seems to make any sense.
I cut down the irises and tulips that did not bloom. They are starting to grow back. Had I known that they would grow back as fast as they did I would have cut them down earlier. Like right away in the spring when it froze after most of my plants were already peeking out of the ground.
Now as I sit here at 1:00 PM the outside temperature is 72°. Looking for a high of 85° and the low is supposed to be 54°.
Exact same weather in Kansas! Ain’t it great.

Weather’s great here, too.. waiting for it to cool down into the 60s.. doesn’t feel like fall at 83 degrees! Ciao!

It has warmed up here too. Sort of makes me nervous as to what will happen next. 🙂 – – – –
