Good Things

If you’d like to read about he Dru Sjodin case this is the link to the articles in the local newspaper

See what I mean about not talking about the good things that happen. I upgraded our phones ~ yes both Dicks’ and mine cell phones. We have funky new phones compared to the ones that we had. He had a flip phone but I had one that almost compared to Zack Morris’s cell phone. Ha ha, not really but it was not funky or fun yet it did the job as good as any.

Now we have the same phones with a camera. They were a free upgrade.

I was trying to text message and I could not do it. I went online to try to set it up so that I could text message. That was still a no go! When all else fails call! So I called Verizon and I do have to admit that Verizon has always had excellent customer service representatives. Everyone that I have ever talked to has never been anything but nice and very helpful. The gal that I talked to this time told me that I had a text-messaging block. I was probably fearing that Derek would get a hold of my phone and do to me what he did to his dad ~ run the bill up!

So now I can send and receive text messages. I can also send and receive pictures! I am excited ~ little girl with a new toy!

I am so excited! SunshineGuy is actually coming here with Roller Beth! I am way too excited to just sit here. I feel like getting up and dancing around! Jumping up and down & squealing like I won the lottery (or something that exciting because I do not buy lottery tickets.)

My tummy is all excited! Butterflies! I just can not wait! I might pee my pants before I get to see them.

I would really like to be going to our “hometown” this weekend because SunshineGuy will be there and our other cousin BJ will be there as well as her half-brother. I vaguely remember him. I think that I have only met him one time and that was back in the mid-70’s when my parents first got married.

I have a picture of my grandma with BJ standing on one side of her and I on the other side of her. BJ was already taller than Grandma was but I never did get taller than Grandma. Well, not until the later years of her life when she acquired a stoop. But it is not fair to compare. It is a great picture and I may have at one time posted it here on OD.

I am sure that most of my pictures are missing because the hosting sites change and I usually do nothing about it when I am informed of the changes. So if you ever come across an entry that have the little boxes with the little red X’s let me know so that I can remove them. I am too lazy to go through all my entries to find the ones that I included pictures. That may be a project to just waste time.

Another good thing: One of my “kids” went to Boston. He wanted to take a week off to go. I told him that I would give him the week off but he had to bring me a coffee mug. Of course I tell all my “kids” that when they go places that I will probably never get to see. He brought me a Cheers coffee mug from Boston. I was so excited! I actually forgot that I had told him that he had to bring me a mug. He asked for the time off way in advance! I suffer from CRS so badly that he wouldn’t have had to bring me anything and I would have never known the difference.

For now I shall have a nap!
