Funny Things During Excavation Project

What am I doing up at this hour? Oh ugh ~ I hate it when I wake up in the middle of the night. I was sleeping shortly after 11 PM which is way early for me. I felt tired so I went to sleep! Apparently there was a crash of thunder that woke me up. Dick woke up. Alexa woke up. Dick went back to bed, Alexa put in a DVD because we have no satellite signal, and here I sit with heartburn.

When I went to sleep I was cold. Yeah over 90 outside but with the air conditioner on I was cold, even though Dick told me that he had turned it up, so I snuggled up in my blanket on the couch and crashed. When I woke up I felt like I was overheating. I guess that I can not make up my mind!

I hope that I can get back to sleep shortly! I don’t want to be up all damn night! I have things to do during the day. Still trying to shovel out ~~Derek’s room~~ ~~Nadine’s room~~ the spare room. I did do some of it today but the closet just overwhelms me so I did not even open the door. I know what it looks like in there. I was afraid, very afraid.

This is funny so I have to mention it. One of the girls wanted red shoes. Red and black are their school colors so they wanted red shoes for basketball. Of course we bought red shoes. These red shoes did not get worn very much maybe a game or two but never outdoors. Then these shoes ended up in the closet and stayed there. Now Tyler has the red shoes. He must have acquired them Saturday while I was at work. When I got home and checked on the kids there he was lying in his bed with the red shoes on ~ sawing logs. Well, of course I took a picture!

Oh, the other funny about the excavation project! This is so gross! A while back (I may have written about it) Grace brought in a live mouse. We tried to stop her and she let it go. The kids kept trying to catch it and I would stand there and scream “son of a bitch” every time they got close to catching it but fail. I hate mice they creep me out. Catching the mouse was a total failure because we lost the mouse and it would not come out. I think that we left Grace in the room with the door closed and the bottom of the door blocked so that the mouse could not get out.

While cleaning out Alexa’s closet we found the mouse. She has a bin that at one time was a toy box that became just a shit box. I emptied that and I was dumping out the crud that accumulated at the bottom of the bin. All of the sudden Nadine yells “the mouse!” I screamed and jumped up (getting ready to run) when she said “it is on the bottom!”

That damn mouse somehow got under that bin and apparently could not get out. It was smashed flat and stuck to the bottom of the bin! Nay is the trooper. She took the bin and she was going to scrape the mouse off the bottom of the bin into the trash. I made her take it outside. She said it was smelly. Alexa claimed that her closet was smelly but I was in that closet I could not smell anything.

Okay, it is after 4 AM and the rain has stopped so I should be able to watch some television and go to sleep. I need the noise in order to fall asleep. Give me something that I want to see and I will be sleeping in a heartbeat.
