Full Flowerbed

I think that Spring has finally sprung in the Frozen Tundra. Today we have wind advisories ~ at least I know that we will not have snow with those today.

I started my flowerbed. I have more perennials ready to go into the ground as soon as I see some green. I am once again using the Jiffy Mini Greenhouse plus I bought extra pellets so I will have a lot of planting to do in a couple weeks.

I planted onion, carrots, banana peppers, bell peppers, cantaloupe, radishes, peas, and cucumbers. I believe that I have pumpkin seed around here too ` somewhere.

New this year for my flowerbed I planted Baby’s Breath, Lupine, Red Hot Poker ~ Torch Lily, Blazing Star, and Chinese Lantern. I have one other one that was hiding from me and I did not get into the “greenhouse” ~ Foxglove. I just keep planting different perennials every year. Sooner or later there will be no space to plant anything else. Right now I have deep purple Hollyhocks, Tiger Lily, Tulips ~ if they ever bloom! I can not remember what all I have out there. I do have a Bleeding heart plant that is behind another big plant so it usually does not do so good. I did plant that from seed so maybe in years to come it will get big and strong enough to do something. Let’s not for get the God forsaken Lamb’s Ear. I try to nip that one right from the start. What a mess that stuff makes! Yet that is not the only noxious weed that I have put in my flowerbed. I planted a wild grass ~ ah not that wild ~ but wild enough that it tried to take over so I pull that right away in the spring too and hope that it does not grow. I did have two Lily of the Valley plants ~ thanks to Dick I no longer have them! Johnny Jump Ups ~ I have a bunch of those. I should have bought some more to thicken them.

I am excited to get out into the flowerbed. I wanted to get in there today but I have other things to do. (Like sitting here at the computer and writing an entry.)

For now I am going to close this and possibly take a nap. That is very important ~ taking a nap. I did not sleep at all Tuesday night. I had just dozed off when all the alarms started going. Everyone has their own alarm clock even though they are all set for just about the same time. I went to sleep around 2 AM and I got up before 7 this morning. It really feels like nap time. Just a short nap.

Who am I trying to justify having a nap to. It is my day off and I already have almost all of the laundry done. There are other things that I could do too but a nap seems like a better idea.

I am not posting this right away because I am burning backing up a movie. Off to my pillows and blankets for a snooze!
