Friday Night ~ Sunday Afternoon

I didn’t get out of work until after 1:30 then I had to wait for the train! Which was not as bad as it used to be. The conductor would stop the train off the road but close enough to it that the warning arms (or what ever they are called) would stay down and flashing. That was irritating!

Last night, Friday night, on my way home from work was eventful. I was driving down the road that I normally use. Behind me is a car with only one headlight. It seemed to me they slowed down a lot so not to go by me in the other lane. But when we got to the stoplight and the driver discovered that I was not an unmarked police car she zoomed ahead of me when the light turned green. Thank God that she did so there was no chance of her wanting to pass me. She was swerving all over the place. Not just once or twice but numerous times. Obviously drunk or otherwise. She accelerated and got way ahead of me. You go girl! I am cruising home not paying attention to my speedometer. An oncoming vehicle and I did not notice that it was a patrol car until the red lights came on! Damn it ~ I was doing 60 in a 55! So I pulled on to the side of the road. The patrol car turns around and whips past me sitting on the side of the road. Yep, he was after the car with the missing headlight. Not to mention the swerving car that was missing a headlight!

Had it not been for the train ~ the same train that I got stuck behind tonight just further back on its journey ~ I think she would have tried to flee. It took her over two miles to stop. That is fleeing ~ as I see it.

I saw those red flashing lights and I immediately put on my blinker and pulled off the road.

I think that I have calmed a bit since my last entry. I wrote about everything that made me angry. But just so no one else could see what a bitch I can be I made it Private! Some day I am sure that I will come back and wonder why I had that on a Private Entry!

Going to brunch with three gals that I went to college with. The four of us have not been together since college. The saddest part about that is two of the gals live in this area. We meet for lunch now and then but I bet it has been almost a year since I have joined them.

Now I am going to be before I fall asleep!
