Freecycled Sparta

As I noted in on one of my faves ~ I wish that I had more time for OD. I wish that I had more time to read and write. I did a lot of skimming this morning. I will have to come back and really read.

Well, we had to get rid of Sparta because he took after Tyler. He did not bite him but he got a hold of a sweat band that Tyler was wearing on his wrist. I don’t even want to think about what could have happened. I was told that I should have beat the hell out of him. I don’t believe that is the correct answer yet I don’t know what is the correct answer. I put him of our local Freecycle. It is a Yahoo Group.

We found a home from him. I am very concerned because the family has 3 little boys ages 7, 3, & 1. I hid nothing they are fully aware of what happened. We delivered Sparta, a new bag of food, treat, toys and a blanket last night. We (the kids and I) stayed for about an hour. Sparta acted like Sparta and hyper and wanting to taste everyone. They still wanted him. She is a stay at home Mom so she will have time to work with him. He may turn around with work. But I don’t get to stay home so I hope that it works out for the family. They are very nice. The children are well behaved and sweet.

I told the kids don’t ever ask to bring home a dog again. You know I have a bleeding heart and will say yes even if I don’t want a dog. I don’t want a dog.

Who ever told you to beath the hell out of Sparta? That is the worst thing to do to a dog. That is not the answer. Working and training animals is what works. I’m sorry it came down to you having to give him away. ((hugs))

I hate it when some one would hurt a dog. But I know the feeling if YOUR dog does something that is not right. Then there is consequences. I am so sorry you had to get him another home. I am sure it was the best decision for your family. I do hope the new family can DO better for SPARTA! NEAT NAME…are they keeping that name?
