Bugs Be Gone
As for the plants…the big Rubber Tree plant that I rescued from my boss is out in the garage. There is so much soil that I don’t think that I could treat the soil and kill all of the bugs. Another planter went right out onto the ground. Grace has been using it for a litter box…enough is enough. Out with it! No more pissin’ in my plants. Those were bulbs that Ty’s parents gave me. They are supposed to grown outside anyway. They were doing good until Grace started digging around for a place to take a dump. One more good sized planters went out to the garage. I took the plant out and put it in a glass of water to keep the roots alive. I think that freezing the soil will take care of the bugs. That is one good thing about North Dakota…just freeze it. The rest of the plants are in small enough pots that I believe the treatment will work on them. The only big one that I have left in the house is the plant from my Grandpa’s funeral. I have not even taken it down to see if it is infested or not…I am sure that it is because I used the same bag of soil to repot all of the plants.
It amazes me how having to change one light bulb turns into a whole project. Dick and I took down almost all of the light covers and washed them. We should do the rest of them just for good measures. We replaced some bulbs with the bulbs that are supposed to last for nine years. We even wrote the date on the light fixture just so that it is recorded. Even though they are guaranteed to last for nine years I do not believe it. We’ll see I guess.
It is 40 degrees out right now. It is 4 pm and 40 Jan. 6. That must be a record of some sort.
I have to get into the shower. I did not shower yesterday because I slept most of the day. I was heading for the shower when Nadine decided that she was taking one.
Well I am glad that you decided what to do with the bugs. Freezing them would do the trick. I am with you on the light bulbs. We changed all of ours and are not believing that they will last that long until we see it happen. Hope that lip is better. 🙂
