Books Galore

If you’d like to read about he Dru Sjodin case this is the link to the articles in the local newspaper

Feeling miserable I still took the kids to town yesterday. I had to try to find something to relieve the sinus pressure and nasal congestion. I usually try to buy the Equate brand at Wal*Mart because it does not seem as strong as the name brands. Most of these products were being sold behind the cash register (I think it has something to do with the MethWatch program.) I really wasn’t sure what I wanted for sure so I did not want to get up there and waste the cashier’s time by reading every package. I finally picked Tylenol Allergy/Sinus combo pack ~ it has medicine for the day and medicine for the night.

Since it was night I decided to take some of the nighttime stuff. I told the kids that I am not sure how I was going to react to this and I might just go to sleep. Behave ~ use your best judgment because you may not get a coherent answer from me anyway. Cold medicine makes me goofy so I usually only take half of the recommended dose. What was I thinking when I took the whole dose? Talk about being a mess! I was wiped out but couldn’t sleep ~ I call this snowed! I was snowed big time. I had jumpy legs and my feet were itchy! *Note to self ~ remember to take only one caplet before you go to bed.* Although I could breathe easier I was still miserable.

Right now I am waiting for the daytime medicine to kick in. I only took one caplet. Usually even the day time stuff makes me goofy. DayQuil ~ I try to stay away from that at all cost.

I planned on taking the kids out for supper so of course Royal Fork was their choice. We got to the mall where Royal Fork is located about an hour before the stores closed. So we browsed around the “sidewalk sales.” I found nothing of interest other than at B. Dalton ~ I found Wild Orchid by Jude Deveraux for $4.98. A fifteen dollar book for five dollars ~ I couldn’t pass it up. So of course when Alexa found a book that she wanted even though it was not part of the “sidewalk sale” I had to buy that one too. How can I buy Alexa a book and not let Nadine and Tyler have a book. I ended up picking one for Nadine because she can never make a decision ~ she got The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Tyler got a book of Silly Stories, which will be perfect for his reading sheet.

When report cards came out his teacher sent home a sheet stating that he had turned in zero reading sheets so far this year. I am partly to blame for that ~ I found one that was totally filled out and asked him if he needed it ~ No. So I threw it away. Ugh! These kids don’t get to go to the library often because they use the library as a classroom. That I do not understand. How can they not have the library available for student use? We don’t need their library, we have a library of our own at home. We have so many books and had more but Dick is too willing to throw away a book. I could just scream when he does that. You don’t just throw away a book!

Well now that I have pissed around too long I will be off and running like lunatic and I still have to do something with this mess that I call hair.
