Boat Load of Working

I found an awesome Halloween Graphics site. There is so much neat stuff there and it is free graphics to boot! So while I am waiting for the graphics to download I will try to write an entry. I actually should not be looking at a lot of this stuff this late at night. I just might have nightmares.

This week I have already worked a boat load of hours and it is only half over with. Next week will be no better. Still short staffed but we do have an ad in the paper and we are getting a few applicants. Not like the last ad where every goof-ball in the tri-state area applied. Of those applications there is only one that I would interview.

My toughest criteria for applying for the job is show me your priorities! Yes it is in a bar and the job includes dealing blackjack but use a little common sense. Do not come to the table with a beer, put your money on the table to buy chips then ask for an application! This is one of my biggest irritations of all. If you want an application get one then do your extra-curricular activities. Some people are just not smart enough to figure it out. If they have no common sense when they are applying for a job then they are do not have enough common sense to work for me.

Monday I banked and worked open thru bingo. Tuesday I worked 7-close. Today I did the banked and opened. I worked until three. I came home intending on cooking the pork chops that I took out of the freezer but they were still not completely thawed. So I put them in a dish and put them in the fridge. Tomorrow is another day. I went back to work at 7 and I closed. It was such a mellow closing. I had Curly and Dirty Girl/Little Drunk closing with me. They both know what needs to be done and when to do it.

Thursday I don’t bank and I don’t go in until 7 PM. I bank on Friday then work 5-close. Saturday, no banking work 5-close. No day off for me this week or next week. I will survive ~ I have no choice but to survive.

My supervisor keeps asking me if I want to do this. No I don’t want to do it but I will. Not a big thing as long as it is only temporary.
