Blizzard Coyote

I don’t really have much to write about. I usually think that but when I get going I could go on and on.

I did not go to work today because of the forecast. We are supposed to be getting a blizzard and it already has a name. Coyote ~ named after a almost local dog on a dog sled team that is running the Iditarod.

As of now I don’t think that we are getting any new snow but the snow that we do have is blowing like crazy. The temps are suppose to be in the danger zone…but when aren’t they in North Dakota.

All of kids are out of school today. Even Grand Forks Public schools closed. I was told that this is the first time in four years that they called off school. The Principal thinks that it is up to the parents to keep their kids home if the weather is bad. Yesterday I told Alexa to get her assignments because they have been talking about this blizzard coming. I was keeping her home!

The day never goes this fast when I am at work. It is almost noon already! I should cook lunch for my kids…just to be a nice Mom.

I made bean with ham soup Sunday night. I am having that for lunch but the kids won’t eat it. They have no clue how good it tastes. I am amazed at how yummy it turned out.

The next day….

I went to Open Diary and was like wait just one damn minute here. I know that I wrote an entry. Where is it? Then the other part of my brain said hey dumb shit you did not post it because you weren’t finished with it yet. Ahh, right!

So here I am!

Blizzard Coyote left us unharmed. All the cars start and the roads are good. I will be going to work on time. The kids all get two extra hours. Nadine was supposed to be getting out at noon today but that is not happening how that they did not have school yesterday.

We had a fun evening…the whole family played Left Right Center. For those who don’t know it is a dice game. It comes with betting chips but we use quarters instead. Some how between Dick and I we lost all of my quarters to the kids Alexa. We all lost our quarters to Alexa so Miss Competitive was happy. To the rest of us it really does not matter but to her…winning is the only thing.

I better get in the shower so that I can be to work on time.

I hope all that snow passed you by. We have had rain and more rain the past couple weeks…good thing too. The summit roads closed due to blizzard conditions.
