I know that I am way behind on updating. I am behind on reading too but I have been lurking some.

For my birthday and Valentine’s Day the kids picked out a ring for me. Amazingly enough Dick did splurge and bought it for them. Kay Jewelers was/is running a special for Customer Appreciation Days. The ring is cute ~ it has three heart shaped lab-created rubies with what they call diamonds on each end. I am so glad that the ring was quite cheap on sale. I don’t want him spending money on me or going out of his way to do something for me.

I left him a note thanking him and he wrote back making it perfectly clear that it was the kid’s idea. At least we are on the same page there! I don’t want him buying me things and he does not want to buy me things.
