Better Now

I spent all day yesterday and so far most of today in bed. I feel better today but I still don’t feel great. My throat hurts. Last night I got up in the middle of the night and ate a Skinny Cow ice cream bar. The cold felt wonderful on my throat. Today I have had coffee, tea, hot chocolate, chicken noodle soup, and water. Anything to make my throat feel better. I have tried cough drops and Breezer but they just make me throw up.

That was Sunday. It is now Friday.

I still felt like crap Monday morning when I woke up. I should have called in sick but I didn’t. Don’t ask because I don’t even know why I don’t use some of my sick time. It is not like any company pays it out if it is not used. I am dumb but I lived. I did not even begin to feel until I found Vick Formula 44 Throat Lozenges. Man I sucked on one of those and was almost instantly that I started to feel better.

I still have some chest congestion but it seems like I can not cough hard enough. I can deal with that because it is not dragging me down.

I opened today so I was off by 2 PM. I should have been there until 3 but the Princess had things to do and I let her. No big deal to me. Do your thing and I can take my break from 2-3. It was nice!

The sun was shining and the weather was great. It was about 20 degrees today with no wind. Today was 70 degrees warmer than it was Wednesday. Seriously with the wind chill factor it was -47. How we deal with that I will never know. It is very scary when you think about your car breaking down. Some dummies don’t know enough to stay in the car even if it is stalled at least you are sheltered from the wind. It does not take long to get frost bite or freeze to death.

I am home all alone right now! The girls went to Larimore to hang out with their boyfriends. Tyler is at “shooting” which is a gun safety class and he is learning how to shoot. He gets to go to Bismarck in March for a competition. He is pretty excited about that.

I have done nothing all week so I have nothing to really report. I work in the morning so I don’t even get to go out. Nothing more to write about so I will read and catch up.
