Aroma of Cinnamon

Blanket of white on the ground. Frozen raindrops on my window. Vanilla Nut coffee in my mug. Fresh baked Snickerdoodle cookies in the oven, on the counter top, and in my mouth! The wind is blowing but the furnace is running. Perfect day to stay in and snuggle up in my electric blanket with a good book. It would be the perfect day to bake all day ~ if I had more butter.

I have already been to town today but I forgot to stop and get more butter. Apparently when I asked for a couple pounds of butter Dick thought that I meant one. Yesterday I was in the mood to bake.

God only knows what my creative side will do when I am in this mood and have the all the supplies to bake with. I could make peanut brittle ~ I only need a tablespoon of butter for that. But I don’t have any aluminum foil to pour it onto when I am done cooking it. I don’t think that I can use parchment paper or wax paper for that. Yesterday Alexa suggested plastic wrap ~ that just won’t work unless you want to eat melted plastic along with your peanut brittle.

I love the first paragraph of this entry! It sounds heavenly…you are quite poetic GoA!! You can use wax paper for a substitute, it works!

I don’t see why you couldn’t use parchment paper. Give it a little spray of Pam first. After reading this, now I want cookies! Good Luck.

I’ll even bring my own coffee mug. How big is the coffee pot? 🙂 – – – –

Hmmmm, I can smell the coffee and snickerdoodles from here. Cold weather makes me want to bake also…then I come to my senses and go to the bakery instead. 🙂
