The.Sun’s.Sonnet
I now know what they mean when they mention
That part of them is missing, maimed and gone.
I knew no pain when I saw not the sun,
I didn’t understand until came dawn.
News of one loss is cause enough to weep.
One funeral alone to dress in black.
But two shaped holes of those I may not keep?
The morning when my strength began to lack,
God keep my lovlies close where you reside,
Please keep your eye on them as well as me.
One-sided conversations to the sky
May they hear and look on me lovingly.
In time all hurt eventually will heal,
Christ hear my cries, for at your Cross I kneel.
