World Record

Today was loads of fun.

I should be typing those words with more conviction after the event I just participated in, but the truth is that I had a miserable day.

UNC attempted to break the world record for the number of people out on a football field doing the Thriller dance. Since our marching band played Thriller in our halftime show, Mr. Miles gave us the option to go along with Rocky’s band to the event. There were like 18 of us that signed up. So, yeah, that’s what I did today. I very quickly became the third wheel to just about everyone. I don’t like it when people feel they have to include me, but I hate it when they ignore me completely and totally exclude me. Both of these situations happened today and it just sucked. Also, I was freaking cold and never once warmed up.

Now I’m sipping hot tea and I feel a little bit better.
