Oh hi I am metabolizing

Since Arianna moved back from Phoenix, we went out to get caught up and just have fun. I hadn’t realized how long it was since I last saw her! Usually we try to hang out every now and then and then we have family get togethers throughout the year, but it had been a whole HALF A YEAR. Goodness! I’m allowed to have favorite cousins, right? ‘Cause she’s mine.

We went out to the bars in Fort Collins and tried some very tasty drinks. We ended up staying out til around 2AM, which was a first for me. I used to stay out really late/early back in high school, but this was my first time out drinking that long.

One of the leads at work told me that he’s never been drinking in Fort Collins, but that he imagines it’s like Boulder but more spread out and with more fights because there are more hicks. Hahaha what? I love learning other people’s perceptions of my hometown. Lemme just set the record straight: Greeley is the hick town.

I got some texts from Tammy that night:
I see you.
At the Rio.

Haha I don’t know why she didn’t come over and say hi. Actually, it was probably because Arianna and I were laughing like maniacs the entire time we were there.

Then we were walking to another bar and I heard "Laura?" I wasn’t sure at first who had said it or if I had just imagined someone saying my name… It was Patrick! Neighbor Patrick! And guess what I did? That’s right, I hugged him. Apparently that’s something I do now? I blame the shots. We didn’t like really catch up or anything because it’s not like we were ever super close and because I was a little too far gone to remember how to be polite. We’ve just known each other since we were in diapers and it’s been three years since high school, so y’know, why not hug it out? Then I felt bad later because I knew the guy he was with, but I temporarily forgot his name. Sorry, Brian…

It is SO weird now thinking about all the kids on my street that I grew up with. I was fortunate enough to have a LOT of kids on the street my age. Honestly, there were eight of us. And then we lived right in the middle of three schools, so all our friends were within walking distance.

It was fun seeing my parentals again, too. I always like hanging out with them. I know my mom misses us because she says it, but I can tell my dad misses us because he has started calling us by nicknames that he hasn’t used since we were very little. Wazzie and Molls aren’t complaining ;D

So, I was jump roping the other day and now my calf muscles hate me. Oops. I can’t wait until I can start using the rec center again. It’s way too hot to go running anywhere else. Isabell has sought refuge from the heat by making a pillow fort on my bed. World’s most awesome dog? Probs.

I took a bunch of fun tests on a BBC page.

My brain is completely average for a woman taking this test. Boring. I couldn’t even answer all the questions because of my crap internet so I’m kind of insulted that it thinks that’s an average female brain!
