“Boy, kid, you’re seeing everything.”
Back from my grandparents’ house…
They depress me. Grandpa can’t take care of Grandma all on his own, but he’s trying and it’s clearly wearing him thin. He fired the nurse who would come and take care of her because he came in from doing yardwork one day and found her just reading a book. I’m not really sure what else she woud be doing since all Grandma does is sleep in her chair, but whatever. This morning Grandma made a mess in the bathroom and Grandpa yelled at her to wash her hands. I get the feeling that while we were there, though, Grandma used us as an excuse to be a lot more dependent than usual. I dunno.
I listened to my Christmas CD on the way to the library today. I’m going to have to be careful not to overplay it this year…
I’m sorry, hon. I went through that with my own parents. It’s a helpless feeling. Tom-

*HUG* It sounds like your grandpa is really frustrated at his helplessness in being able to take care of your grandma. 🙁

*hugs*…and why is everyone getting so christmas-y lately? I maybe should get in the spirit..

Eugh, Christmas. 😉 I’m sorry that your grandparents are going through such a tough time. I know it’s difficult to watch, and I wish there was something better to say…but I have no idea what you may be feeling or going through. Good luck. *

RYN: Yes, and this movie didn’t even have much in the sex appeal category. Sure, there were lovely Bond girls but Bond only banged one girl and it was filmed as discretely as a TV movie. Bond seemed much racier in the ’70’s lol. No sex, no gadgets, it might as well have been a Mel Gibson movie! 😛
