Why So Different Now
I recall a time when posting to Open Diary was like the ONLY thing to really do. I mean sure at early 2000’s when I first joined OD, I was on Myspace, but there really wasn’t a social media outlet. I could sit here and write several times a day with OD. I find myself yearning to do that again, but then I think … is that the correct way to go about an online blog/diary anymore? It was what I did in the past, but now.. I feel like is 1 entry a day sufficient?
Its silly to ponder these things. I can goto Facebook now and simply post randomness and thoughts through out the day and I feel like that is where the “need” of multiple posting comes from.
But I digress…. I plan to update when/how I feel.
Tonight should be fun, a group of friends, Dan & I are going to see the new Star Wars movie (I know WAY late to this game) but it will be only for $5 (<3 $5 movie nights). We plan to attend Sushi for dinner before the movie.
I love hanging with my friends, they are a great group. I think I will make it a point to create a little summary of friends and such. Just to catch up people as to whom I am talking about within my Diary. For now its public, but I willl probably make some of my entries Member’s only down the road. Mostly this will be pending the content.
I am already starting to get a busy schedule for my month. Between Dan traveling for work, I am filling spots of time with my volunteering, gaming related events, and friend hangouts. D&D is starting back up again and I need to see where I plan to stand with that. Being in 2 campaigns has been a bit challenging. The one campaign we have been together for close to 3 years and my Cleric is level 10. The other campaign only started over a year ago, we are level 5 – that one I really enjoy as we get SO much story/game play done… not so much “distracted” stories that don’t apply to characters.
I don’t think there should be any “schedule” to how often you update, like you said, it should be when you feel the need, or want to. Juggling two D&D campaigns would be hard, I would have trouble switching back and forth between characters 🙂 What class is your level 5?
@thediarymaster
As for the D&D things, it DOES help that both are Cleric’s. Campaign 1 – Life Domain Wood Elf Cleric Level 10 Neutral Good; Campaign 2 – War Domain Cleric Half Elf Nuetral/Nuetral
@letlovein cool! Personally, I would find the second one somewhat more interesting – but that’s because I think there is real fun in playing a Neutral/Neutral as really and truly neutral.

For me way back in the day it was the only place I found solace in during the darkest days in my life. As years went by the some of the darkness faded, and now I’m a much better place. And I don’t think I’ll write everyday, just when the inspiration strikes.
