– Oldest BIL Is Right –

I do have too much time on my hands and will have more now that my mornings have been freed up.

BUT!

I am having fun.

On my way home this morning after treatment I stopped at Ace Hardware and picked up the larger bell.

Results were outstanding.

Now all I have to do is to remember to push the shutter release when I want to stop filming.

The previous camera stopped filming when the shutter button was released. On the current camera you have to depress the shutter button a second time to stop filming.

It would also help if I had video editing software.

But I am having fun with the “Squirrel Wars”

Hell, I just may end up getting a digital camcorder since I’m having so much fun.

We have five or six “resident” squirrels on our lot.

None of them have yet tried to get onto the bird feeder I constructed and suspended from a branch of the oak tree closest to the house.

I would really like to film/tape/record any of them attempting to get on the bird feeder and going “SPLAT!”

I have seen at least two of them checking out the feeder and the rope that it is suspended from.

I have no problem with the squirrels or chipmunks feeding on the seed that falls from the bird feeders.

Somewhere I have some photos of squirrels crawling all over my Grandfather as he sat on a bench in his front yard feeding them. Even having their heads and forelegs in his shirt pockets getting nuts and pieces of bread.

They would also crawl on me if I sat on the bench.

Now all I can think of is them harboring fleas, ticks and mites.

Try CNET.com for editing software. I’m sure they’ll have something really good and FREE.
