Mabel Ringling liked roses and Italy
She had an Italian Style Wheel Shaped Rose Garden created.
The garden is 100 years old this year.
I have no idea as to what type of flowering tree is in the photo to the right above but it is interesting.
I like the way the main entrance to the Ringling Mansion is nicely framed in the last photo of this entry.
Two or three more entries featuring the Ringling Mansion and Art Museum. Then we make our way to the north and then northwest of Florida.

ringling mansion left haunting memories for me. he was a rounder and a bounder and she had a bedroom quite distant from his. it had to be a hard life for her, and perhaps a lonely one too.

Fantastic pictures of the circus, and I too love roses and used to grow dozens of them. Mabel has good taste. Do you still grow those gorgeous dahlias? They were fantastic too!
