One of these!
I found this lying at the base of the oak tree that partially overhangs the rear deck/porch.
Garden is through for the year with the exception of two Brussels Sprout plants. Those according to the Wife-Unit shouldnt be picked until after the first freeze. I dont think well have much of a crop from them.
I wonder what kind of nest that is? Hummingbird? Something small, for sure…it’s cool how it uses, what appears (in the picture as) tree bark…?

What a beautiful little nest… I did not cut back my Lantana this year as the hummingbirds love it so. I even put out a feeder for them and they ignored it choosing the real stuff instead! RYN: I’m so glad you enjoyed my entry… please share it and pass it around…
